Etsy Find: BayberryMeadowHerbs

I’ve  had an immense fascination with the use of herbs in everyday life other than just for cooking. This post is not about Wicca, Wiccans, nor is it religious in any way. That being said, this week’s Etsy find is BayberryMeadowHerbs.

I’ve always been interested in the art of Smudging Ceremonies. In layman’s terms, it’s a bundle of sage, and sometimes other herbs, that you burn the end of and use the smoke to cleanse a room or person of spirits. I know, it may sound a bit strange, but it’s a Native American ritual, and a lot of people, myself included, believe it to work. It’s also very nice to find a place that sells them. The only other place I’ve seen them sold is in a catalog for $20 per Smudge Stick and abalone shell set. I wouldn’t trust a commercially produced smudge stick. But that’s just me. BayberryMeadowHerbs sells their Smudge Sticks for $6.75 plus shipping ($4).

Use the Garden Blend as a dry rub on your meats and poultry.

BayberryMeadowHerbs features herbs, spices and teas from Mother Earth. It is all natural and uses herbs that have been “used for medicinal purposes, to soften the skin while bathing and for improving the air quality in their surroundings.”

Their cold process soap that smells just like Old Spice, but is much better for sensitive skin than manufactured soap. Coming from a person with uber sensitive skin, that is amazing. I have seriously sensitive skin and usually everything I use dries out my skin and aggravates my eczema. Not cool. This soap on the other hand, is totally worth checking out!
